You asked, and we’re delivering! We’ve been busy bees behind the scenes putting together new sports units that we’re so excited to finally share.

We like to say that if Hiveclass was a car, the hood would always be open as we’re constantly working to improve our products. Below we’ll outline the new sports that will be available on the platform over the next few weeks, and we can’t wait to hear what you think.

How did we choose which sports to include on the platform? It’s a little bit of planning that we’ve been doing over the last year combined with specific asks from YOU! Hiveclass will continuously add to our offerings, but if there’s something specific that you want to see, please reach out to our team and let us know… You never know when it might show up! 😉 Now, without further ado – check out the new sports that we’re rolling out over the next few weeks.

Pickleball

Whether you’ve played Pickleball or not, you’ve probably heard about it at some point in the last few years. Even though it’s been around for decades, Pickleball has been gaining popularity in the last few years and is now considered to be one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States! So what exactly is it? It’s a paddle sport that combines elements of ping-pong, badminton, and tennis. Players use a paddle and a plastic ball with holes – it’s appropriate for players of all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple, which makes it a great introductory sport that can also be challenging, fast-paced and competitive. Pickleball can be played both indoors and outdoors, making it a great addition to local parks and rec programs.

Yoga

Yoga as we know it today is a modern version of an ancient practice that has deep spiritual roots. Did you know that the number of people practicing yoga in the U.S. more than doubled between 2012 and 2016? It’s grown into a wellness trend that provides numerous physical and mental health benefits to those who include it in their physical fitness routine. Some benefits of practicing yoga include lowering stress levels and blood pressure, supporting functional strength, improving flexibility and balance and so much more. While there are certainly challenging poses and styles of yoga that can get your heart pumping, yoga is also a great way to slow down, breathe and take time for restorative self-care.

Mindfulness

You may have seen this one coming, especially since we featured mindfulness on our blog recently! Do you know what it is? According to Mindful.org, “mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.” The reason we’re adding mindfulness to our offerings is because taking care of our mental health is just as important as taking care of our physical health. When we’re mindful, our performance gets better. We’re better able to focus and pay attention to the things and people around us, and it reduces stress levels while reminding us to be more present in the moment. Just like getting better at sports requires commitment and training, being mindful is also something that you can get better at with consistent practice.

Lacrosse

Did you know that lacrosse is considered to be America’s first sport? The sport is a combination of basketball, soccer and hockey, and it’s an exhilarating activity that is fast-paced and full of action. Lacrosse is a fast-growing team sport in the U.S., and it’s important to note that there are differences between men’s and women’s lacrosse game rules and equipment needs. The Hiveclass lacrosse offering provides instruction in basic, beginner-level skills as a way to introduce new players to the sport.

These new sports offerings will be uploaded onto the Hiveclass platform over the next few weeks. You can follow along on Instagram where we’ll be sharing video highlights and more fun information as each sport goes live! If you have any questions, or would like to experience the platform first hand, please don’t hesitate to contact us, we’d love to share more about Hiveclass.
