Hiveclass is a digital platform dedicated to transforming passive scrolling into Active Screentime. We offer a solution to kids who spend, on average, nearly six hours per day online by providing content that allows young athletes to learn new skills, master unique tricks, and explore different sports in bite-sized lessons.
Yes, as long as their Hiveclass account is linked to their library with their barcode number they can access their account from anywhere and on any device.
Hiveclass was created with input from librarians to make it work for both you AND your patrons. If you’re struggling to find ways to use Hiveclass in your library, check out our resources page where we have a downloadable PDF with suggested program ideas. You’re welcome to change things up to fit your needs!
As of 2021, our users can explore skills videos across field hockey, lacrosse, dance, soccer, fitness, self-defense, volleyball, basketball and tennis. That being said, we are updating our offerings and adding new videos and new sports all the time!

Every user has to create an account to access the courses. Library patrons must enter their account/barcode number during account creation in order to access the free version of the software their library has purchased.

Yes, contracts with libraries are signed on a yearly basis so subscriptions will need to be renewed annually. We enter into each commitment with the expectation of a long-term partnership so we look forward to a relationship with each library for many years to come.
Virtual FAQs

Students are provided an interactive platform through your school’s unique login URL which houses our Virtual Physical Education curriculum. Each unit is approximately 4 weeks in length and will cover the 6 components of our Hiveclass Homeschool Curriculum.
Physical literacy, as defined by SHAPE America, is “the ability to move with competence and confidence in a wide variety of physical activities in multiple environments that benefit the healthy development of the whole person.” At Hiveclass, our goal is to provide an engaging and fun curriculum to inspire your child to be active for a lifetime.
Yes. Our curriculum is aligned with SHAPE America National Physical Education Standards, as well as CASEL standards for Social Emotional Learning.
Our curriculum is developed by Credentialed and National Board Certified Physical Educators and a Psychotherapist. Athletes appearing in our skill videos are youth athletes, many of whom are Division I collegiate athletes and professional coaches.
Yes. Our Curriculum meets the number of minutes per Education Code Section 51223 requirements for all Secondary students to meet 400 minutes every ten school days.

Your child will become confident and competent in a variety of movement skills and activities, from a volleyball pass to juggling a soccer ball.
Students will learn concepts that can be used while playing sports and games, fitness concepts to help them be well for life, concepts that will improve their social and emotional health and concepts that will help them move more efficiently and effectively.
Students will be assessed in the following 3 domains:
– Psychomotor Domain via Task sheets and Movement analysis
– Cognitive Domain via written response to concepts
– Affective Domain using weekly self assessment journals
Typically, students will start with a warm-up video, a fitness workout, Skill Specific practice, a written response to the movement concept, Fitness concepts, and Social and Emotional Learning concepts depending on the day of the week.
Students access a collection of various units which can either be taken in order or self-directed. Each activity (ie Volleyball) will be divided by weeks which are in turn broken down by a day’s lesson plan covering various aspects of a skill (ie. Setting).
Our curriculum is designed to be Student-paced or Self Paced and can be accessed at anytime.There is no set time. However, each week is broken down by day for added guidance where needed.
Students can pick up right where they left off to allow them to move ahead or ‘catch up’ as needed.
Currently, our curriculum is designed for middle school and high school students. Join the community to learn when our elementary school curriculum will be launched.

General FAQs
For the client (parent).
On average your child will engage in moderate to vigorous physical activity 40 minutes a day.
In order to meet required minutes, students are expected to complete course work 4 days a week Monday through Thursday and be Physically Active for 40 minutes or more on Friday. This is because we encourage students to pursue their interests and Fridays offer this flexibility to do just that!
Our curriculum is designed to be Student-Paced or Self-Paced. You may access the curriculum at any time and anywhere.
Currently, our curriculum is designed for Middle School and High School. Join the community to learn when our Elementary School curriculum will be launched.
