Another season, another new sports drop for Hiveclass! We are so excited to announce new sports and content on our platform – something that many of you have been eagerly anticipating. Since our last sports drop, our team has been working tirelessly to develop new, high-quality content that you have come to expect from Hiveclass. Our new sports are both informative and entertaining, and we’re confident that with these new additions Hiveclass will continue to be a valuable resource for learning and growth. So…what are the new sports that we’re releasing? Read on to find out 😉

Aquatics

Spring just sprung, but we think many of us are looking forward to summer already. Whether your community braves the cold, or there’s access to an indoor pool, aquatics is a wonderful addition to any well-rounded physical education program. Did you know that swimming is an exciting sport that provides a full-body workout? Some of the benefits include improved cardio health, building strength, enhanced endurance, flexibility and so much more. Aquatics is a valuable and exciting offering, and we’re thrilled to make it more accessible to our Hive. What exactly falls under aquatics? Good question! Water safety, basic swimming strokes, synchronized swimming, water polo and an array of dry land exercises are just a few of the skills that fall under the new course.

Gymnastics

Gymnastics might be seen as a historically inaccessible activity because it is often associated with being an elite sport due to the high level of skill and training required to compete. Costs associated with gymnastics can quickly add up and this might be one of the reasons why we are making it available through Hiveclass! The new unit provides skills training in artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatics and tumbling as well as aerobic training. This unit in particular is also appropriate for younger learners.

Gymnastics is a beautiful sport that helps develop strength, flexibility, balance and coordination – all of which are important components of physical fitness. Additionally, gymnastics can help students develop important life skills such as perseverance, discipline, and goal-setting. This sport requires strong mental focus and determination, all of which can help students build confidence and resilience. By incorporating gymnastics into a P.E. program, educators can provide students with a well-rounded physical wellness education that promotes health, wellness, and personal development.

Strength & Conditioning

We’re releasing, not one, but TWO versions of strength & conditioning! Version one features the short, two-minute videos that you are already familiar with, and version two provides a deeper dive into movement concepts and principles. The eight additional informational videos break down topics that are important within Strength & Conditioning in a fun format that is easy to follow along with.

Strength and conditioning is an important aspect of physical fitness that helps to develop and build strong muscles and bones, improve endurance and reduce the risk of injury. Our expert physical educators carefully developed the content in these videos to ensure that it is safe, effective and entertaining for students of all levels. The videos are easy to follow, require little to no equipment (substitutions are available), and can be watched on-demand, making it easy for students to fit this activity into their schedules.
We’re committed to continuously improving and expanding our offerings to meet the evolving needs of our partners, and we’re thrilled to share these new units with you now. If you’ve ever been curious about how we select what activities to feature and when, you can check out this blog post about our creative process. Much of it has to do with feedback we receive from you! So if there’s something you’re interested in seeing on our platform, please let us know 😊.  We believe that providing high-quality physical education on our platform will not only enhance students’ physical abilities, but also boost their confidence and overall well-being. If you have any questions, or would like to experience the platform first hand, please don’t hesitate to contact us, we’d love to share more about Hiveclass.
