Determined and self-taught, Ellie can and will accomplish what she sets her mind to. She’s left-handed but taught herself to be ambidextrous, just in case. She’s also teaching herself embroidery, cross-stitching and knitting. When the going gets tough she may want to give up, but she won’t. Now if you ask her to play in a pick-up game of soccer, she won’t be your MVP, but she’ll loudly cheer you on!
She works at her local library where she creates and runs programs for children. Outside of the library she leads the charge in connecting other libraries with Hiveclass, and strongly believes in the positive impact the program will have on kids who may not have access to training, or the ability to participate in youth sports.
As a little girl Ellie imagined growing up to be a writer, or Sailor Venus from Sailor Moon, and while there’s plenty of time for these dreams to come to fruition, she’s happily and diligently working towards making a difference in the lives of children worldwide.
