“We can do hard things.”
Pride. Confidence. Self-esteem. Resilience. These are extremely important life skills that we all need to learn to succeed and lead the life we dream of. These are also skills that Heidi strongly believes can be taught and built by participating in youth sports.
Heidi works as a psychotherapist and parenting educator. Her list of services and accomplishments is impressive – she has dedicated her practice to helping adults and children learn how to navigate trauma and anxiety while learning to be resilient, empathetic and take care of their emotional and mental well-being.
As a curriculum consultant for Hiveclass, she’s thrilled to share her knowledge and expertise to help kids utilize sports to build confidence and self-esteem – much more fun than having to do it later in life through therapy! She guides parents on how to have difficult conversations about winning and losing, how to better support their kids through various obstacles, and she’s a pro at making complex neurobiological terms easy-to-understand.
In her free time, Heidi enjoys drawing, art, creative crafts, yoga, going to the beach, geeking out over the nervous system and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
